The embassy advises travelers to bring evidence of the essential nature of their visit and evidence of their status as a resident in Mexico, if applicable. A recent increase in crime against tourists in Cancun and the Riviera Maya has led the U.S. The Consulate General in Mérida issues a security alert for Americans traveling in the region.
Many Mexican resorts offer rapid antigen and PCR tests on property for guests returning to the U.S. As of March 10, all domestic travelers (U, S. Citizens and Residents), both vaccinated and unvaccinated, no longer need to present proof of a negative pre-travel COVID-19 test result to enter Puerto Rico. However, international visitors must be fully vaccinated and present proof of a negative molecular test for COVID-19 performed within the day after arrival, the same protocols as for entering the U.S.
As of March 10, all lodging establishments in Puerto Rico are no longer required to view visitors' vaccination records or negative test results at check-in, and establishments that serve food or beverages no longer require proof of vaccination or a negative antigen or PCR test. All capacity restrictions are also over and face masks are no longer required in indoor public places, but are recommended when vaccination status cannot be guaranteed. Masks are required on all public transport. Travelers 5 years of age or older, even those who are fully vaccinated, and all international travelers 2 years or older must now use the U.S. Authorization to enter the Virgin Islands Travel Assessment Portal. Travellers who are not vaccinated or partially vaccinated must present the original test result as well as the portal travel certification upon arrival. Masks are mandatory when going to businesses and attractions, and when using public transportation. COVID-19 guidelines are in place for retail businesses and attractions, taxi vans, safari vehicles and limousine services. Vaccination requirements mean that passengers must submit verifiable documentation of complete vaccination with the two-dose COVID-19 vaccine approved by the World Health Organization or the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Environment or a single-dose vaccine (completed 14 days or more prior to entry). All arriving passengers must complete a health declaration and stay at a certified property while they can enjoy certified activities.
Passengers arriving by sea (private yachts or ferries) are subject to quarantine according to guidelines issued by Port Health. All visitors who want a short stay or working agreement from Anguilla must present proof of vaccination with an approved vaccine (with the final dose at least 14 days prior to arrival) and a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken three days prior to arrival or a negative antigen test of a laboratory performed no more than two days before arrival. Both documents must be presented to the airline or ship's staff and then again upon arrival in Anguilla. Proof of arrival is not required if six months or less have passed since vaccination was completed or at least 14 days since a booster dose was received.
Travellers whose last dose was more than six months ago and do not receive a booster, including minors who are not eligible for the booster dose, will be tested on arrival on their own. Travellers who must take the test upon arrival must travel directly to their accommodation via “Environment Certified” ground transportation and stay in their accommodations until they receive the test result, usually within 24 hours. Guests staying on the island for more than eight days can get tested on the fourth day of their visit, at no additional cost.
Starting March 19, Aruba has relaxed its COVID-19 testing requirements. Visitors must wear a mask with them and wear one at the airport and at businesses that require it. The Bahamas is open to tourism and can be visited by Americans, but pre-trip and post-arrival tests are mandatory for all visitors, regardless of vaccination status.
All fully vaccinated visitors over 2 years of age must present a negative COVID-19 test, either rapid antigen or PCR, performed within three days (72 hours) of arrival, while a PCR test performed within three days (72 hours) of arrival is required for unvaccinated travelers aged 12 or more. Unvaccinated children aged 2 to 11 may show results from a negative PCR or a rapid antigen test. While in the Bahamas, all visitors must wear a mask in public spaces. Barbados mandatory protocols require all arriving visitors to submit a negative COVID-19 PCR test performed within three days of arrival or a negative rapid antigen or rapid PCR test performed within the day of arrival, with testing and quarantine on arrival for some. Fully vaccinated travelers are no longer required to quarantine and are not subject to mandatory testing at the airport upon arrival, although they may be selected for a random rapid antigen test. When traveling to the Cayman Islands with children, unvaccinated children under 12 years of age will assume the vaccination status of their adult travel companions. All children over 12 must be vaccinated to be exempt from seven-day quarantine and GPS tracking. There are a number of additional restrictions for the U.S. Travellers visiting Cuba who are not related to the pandemic and who remain active.
Restaurants, retail stores, beaches, beach clubs and casinos are open. Social distancing measures are in place throughout the island and masks are required when social distancing is not possible. Visitors no longer need to complete a pre-travel questionnaire and fully vaccinated travelers only need to provide proof of vaccination when boarding their flight and upon arrival in Dominica. Visitors who are not fully vaccinated (including children under the age of 13 to 1) must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test performed within 72 hours or a professionally supervised negative rapid antigen test within 48 hours of arrival. They should keep this form for self-quarantine and contact tracing purposes as needed. The embassy also informs that, starting April 18, all travelers to Haiti over the age of 12 must present a vaccination card showing full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR test or antigen test performed within 72 hours of travel to their airline; proof of prior infection with COVID-19 (positive test and documentation from the attending physician) is also allowed. Cyprus, a small island nation off the coast of Turkey, is now open to Americans arriving directly from the United States. Some places are still restricted to those with a valid “Safepass”, defined as a negative test (PCR or rapid antigen) in the previous 72 hours, proof of at least one dose of vaccination at least three weeks before, or proof of having contracted coronavirus in the previous six months.
For tourists, the CDC vaccination card will be enough. As of 9 April, the Czech Republic has suspended all entry restrictions related to COVID-19, and the entry ban for foreigners from third countries and the obligation to prove that they are free of infection by testing or proof of vaccination have been lifted. Travelers who are not vaccinated or have not recovered can enter only for essential reasons (not tourism) until at least May 8 and must present a certificate of negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours or a certificate of having received the first dose of the COVID vaccination series -19.Without either, they should be tested for COVID-19 at the point of entry. People who are vaccinated must have received their final dose within the last 270 days or should receive a booster.
CDC White Card Accepted. All unvaccinated travellers who are unable to demonstrate recovery from COVID-19 within the last 90 days must submit a negative PCR or antigen test performed within 72 or 48 hours, respectively, or be required to self-isolate for five days and undergo a PCR or antigen test at the end of isolation. To dine inside restaurants or enter museums, shopping malls or public institutions, you must show evidence of vaccination or a negative PCR or a rapid antigen test. Switzerland handles Liechtenstein's immigration and customs matters, which means that, as long as you are qualified to enter Switzerland, you can enter Liechtenstein, as there is an open border between the two countries. travelers must verify their CDC card through the VeriFly app by uploading vaccine information and other travel documentation required to activate their “Trip to Malta” pass, according to the U.S. The Embassy points out that starting in January. Embassy in Slovakia, starting April 6, all COVID-19 requirements for entry into Slovakia are canceled, regardless of vaccination status, and Americans can visit for tourism. According to the U.S. Embassy, passengers over 18 years of age, regardless of nationality, who have not been vaccinated or have no history of recovery from COVID-19 must present a negative PCR test result, performed no later than 48 hours before their domestic flight. The Turkish Ministry of Health announced on March 2 that masks are no longer required outdoors and indoors if air circulation and social distancing are adequate. The embassy informs that arriving travelers must comply with all entry requirements to Malaysia, including downloading and updating the MySejahtera app and completing the digital form prior to departure. There is no quarantine requirement for fully vaccinated travellers or any traveller 17 years of age or younger, unless they receive a positive test result upon arrival.

Tourists face health screenings and those arriving through a land border will have to undergo a rapid antigen test, even if they have the required negative pre-trip test. Passengers must wait for results and if they test positive, they will be denied entry. After almost two years, Vietnam has reopened its doors to foreign tourists.
The decision to reopen Vietnam comes at a time when its reported cases of COVID-19 are falling after record highs in March. Consult with the Embassy of Vietnam in the U.S. Australia had been closed to most foreign visitors for the past two years, although that changed in February. All international arrivals to Australia must apply for an e-Visa and must be fully vaccinated, but as of April 17 a negative COVID-19 test is no longer required before travel.
The other big news is that Australia also reopened its doors to cruise ships on that date. Fully vaccinated visitors are still required to complete a Travel Declaration to Australia prior to departure, which includes a statement on their vaccination status. They will also be required to upload their vaccination certificate. Unvaccinated travelers who qualify for a travel exemption request will be required to quarantine at a hotel.

American, Delta and United also offer flights from the U.S. To travel to French Polynesia without a compelling reason to visit, travellers must be fully vaccinated (with a booster shot if their last dose was more than nine months before the date of travel) and present a negative COVID-19 PCR test performed within 72 hours of boarding or a test of antigens performed within 48 hours before departure.
Travelers must also complete and print an online affidavit and bring proof of vaccination to the islands. Unvaccinated children 12 years of age or younger can enter if accompanied by a vaccinated parent or legal guardian, but children under 12 who are not vaccinated must have a compelling reason to visit and receive approval. They can enter French Polynesia, but must provide a compelling reason for travel that is approved by the Tahitian government, specifically related to health, business or family. They must follow all the same procedures as vaccinated travelers, but they must also undergo a recommended self-isolation for seven days.

Travellers who were experiencing symptoms during their stay were told to self-report and isolate in their room until further instructions from local emergency operators were told. Face masks are now optional in all indoor public spaces and the indoor dining room has returned to full capacity. Americans have been able to visit Israel if they are fully vaccinated, and as of March 1, even unvaccinated travelers can enter the country.
